  • HVX 200a: Bright whites trigger Auto Gain in Manual Mode

    Hi Fellow Cows,

I have an HVX200a that I am running in Manual mode, HD Norm Gamma, Normal Matrix & Low Knee. Recording at 720p 59.94.

I am looking at the output of the camera on a waveform monitor and I noticed that when a bright white comes into frame (in this example from a large TV) the camera squashes the exposure as if an auto gain or auto iris is being triggered. As far as I can tell I have auto iris and auto gain turned off in every menu that I can find. Any help would be appreciated.

    Truly,

    Jeffrey Di Lullo
