I shoot concerts on stage and the audio is very loud. I adjust my onboard mic’s levels to accommodate. Still when played back it pops and clips. Is there some other setting that i can use for it to play back clean or am needing to get another mic. Note the majority of the shows i cant plug into the board for master audio.
    thanks

If you’re recording a concert, you’ll most likely have to insert a pad (-10db or -20db), and make sure your limiter is turned on on the camera.

ALWAYS monitor off the camera while recording. Your meters may show you’re ok, but you can still be recording clipping and distortion. Invest in a good pair of headphones; they’ll save you in the long run.
