I am having a videographer shoot a wedding for me that I will edit, I want them to shoot in 16:9 SD, I will edit it in FCP 6, my question is, can I just tell them to make sure they are shooting in 16:9 SD ? also when the finished product is viewed on a HD televison set, will the 16:9 fill the whole screen like HD ? do I change my presets for my timeline in FCP to DV NTSC anamorphic ? I know in DVD studio pro, I will use SD 16:9 when I author the DVD, thanks in advance 🙂

You might want to also specifiy the frame rate you want. I believe the 200 will shoot 60i, 24p or 30p.

I just did this a few days ago w/ the 200 In the Camera Setup menu there are three choices Normal, Letterbox & Squeeze. My original thought was to select letterbox. However, we ultimately went to the Squeeze setting, then in editing used the DV anamorphic. The Squeeze setting in the camera monitor looks 16×9 not squished.

    Cheers,
