  HV30 ‘Image Effect” Color Settings

  Hi there,

  Does anyone have suggestions relating to using the ‘Image Effect’ settings on the HV30? I just want to maintain maximum flexibility for color correcting in post. I’m assuming I should stay away from profiles like Vivid to avoid recording clipped colors… The Custom setting lets you control Brightness, Color Depth, Sharpness, and Contrast (each on a three-point scale).

  My first instinct would be to decrease color depth, sharpness, and contrast… Does that make any sense? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
