May 23, 2005 at 4:05 pmWell my program file for FCP 4.5 HD is 142MB in size. I thinks something has gone wrong with yours. It should not be that big!

May 23, 2005 at 4:20 pmI know and I will probably don’t do anything about it since the program works and I soon will be upgrading to FCP 5.0. But it should be good to know whats happend and if it’s possible to avoid in the future.

May 23, 2005 at 4:54 pmA bit odd indeed.
if you ctrl-click the application you can choose show package contents from the drop-down menu and it will open as a folder. Probably there must have been copied or moved a really large file into tha application and you might be able to look further down in the subfolders from the application contents.I hope this is clear. It could be an easy way to find your “cancer” file.

May 23, 2005 at 5:13 pmThanks John!
I didn’t know that you could check the content of the file that way. It was a render folder that had sneaked into the file. Strange! So now the file has been operated, the cancer is gone and the patient survived! 🙂 Thanks again!

May 23, 2005 at 10:49 pmYour welcome. To be more correct you can’t check files like that, but only packages.
Packages appear like files in the finder but are actually a folder containing several files. There are different kinds of packages for example applications (.app), DVD Studio Pro projects (.dspproj) and widgets (.wdgt).
