  hr-dvs3u not in device manager unless firewire dis/enable

  The jvc hr-dvs3u doesn’t appear in the device manager unless I disable and then reenable the firewire card in the device manager. Also the pc doesn’t boot fully into windows with the vcr on. Any ideas on how to fix it? Other devices work ok.
