  HPZR30w Monitor on a Mac?

  I just purchased a big beautiful HPZR30w Monitor, and I am now discovering HP doesn’t like to support Mac OSX. Anybody have any ideas on how to get this puppy properly configured for my edit bay?

  I’m running a MacPro 3.33 GHz 6-Core with an ATI Radeon HD 5770

  I’ve tried hooking it up DVI via mini-dsplay to DVI and straight DVI. Straight DVI gave me higher resolution options, but the monitor went blank as soon as I tried to switch it to “optimum resolution.” I’m now back to mini display to DVI, and am only able to get it working at a beastly 1280×800.
