HPX500…. wide angle options (w/o robbing a bank)
So when we have shoots where artistic license is an option, we often like to reach for wide angle glass. When we get our 500, could we:
1) use a 2/3″ wide-angle SD lens from a Sony Beta
2) buy some sort of wide-angle adapter
3) suck it up & buy a wide HD lens (ouch)
Assume for the moment that “pristine” HD isn’t mandatory. -

If you have the SD lens already, why not test it & see if you like the look? The softer look may of the SD lens may work out well with as an “artistic” option.

I’ll bet the house the SD lenses will be softer then an HD inequivalent. However, as mentioned below, the softer (less resolved) image may work for your application.
We always strive to get the best images recoded, then work from there.
