I am searching for a professional camera and I may be purchasing the new HPX500 P2. Can anyone comment on this 2/3 imager and this investment? I use FCS2 on a Mac Pro. We are shooting a new cable series, instructional -informative. The HPX500 will be the A-cam along with to HVX200’s. We will be shooting on an outdoors set with a 40×60 1/2 grid cloth over head back lit from the sun, 18k’s front fill, with a natural north facing hillside (mainly green trees) as the BG.
Can anyone comment on the blend of these two units together? Is this a good choice for a low budget project given the main body of the work is outside?
This will be my first opportunity with the P2 system.
    Thanks very much.

We shot our last couple of training DVD’s with this exact setup- 500 is awesome. A great camera and a good match with b-camera HVX200s.

We have shot three projects with our HPX500 – one SD and two HD. We couldn’t be happier.

In europe they ship with a very bad viewfinder.
You can buy a better viewfinder but cannot return the useless viewfinder that is shipped with the camera. This adds 2500 euro’s to the camera’s pricetag.
