So I’m fairly new to the HPX170 and I’m having issues when trying to transfer my footage.
The audio ends abruptly midway through the clip. I immediately thought frame rate problem,
but when I checked the clips on the camera at DV100 720/60p and then adjusted my system, sequence, and A/V settings to DVCPRO HD 720/ 60p and re-transfered, the audio still cut out. Can anyone save me
from the perils of my new technology nightmares?!

    Thanks,

    Marcus A. McDougald

Please describe your system and workflow. In particular, what drives are you using and how are they formatted?

Thanks for your inquiry John. I am storing my footage on an external WD IBook formatted for mac.
I’m transferring via FCP 6.0.6. Is the processor speed necessary? I’m not too sure without digging for it.
Let me know if this helps.

Does the audio play to the end of the clip in the camera? Is this happening with just one clip – or all the clips?
