HPX 500 control issues/ camera won’t power down
Hi all, I am having some strange problems with a couple of different hpx 500’s The camera’s are powered via telemetrics coax camera control system. They also receive control data, tally and return video through the buttpack.
The problem we are having is that we are at times unable to bring up the camera menu’s remotely. When this happens we are also losing the ability to bring up the menu at the camera itself. When this happens, the camera will also not power off any other way than pulling the power from it. There has been times that we have used a battery after this problem has occurred and the menu has still not come up.
Just curious if anyone has had similar issues with these cameras. Any help or input would be appreciated.

We finally determined what was causing the problem. A clamp applied to the top handle of the camera used to mount a monitor using a magic arm has cracked the handle and was depressing the handle mounted record button. As long as this button is pressed, the camera won’t power down and you cannot access the menu.
We now have the problem of finding an alternative mounting point for the monitor and arm if anyone has any suggestions.
