We are using the HPX-2000 with Fujinon HA23x7.6 lens, on a news assignment. The camera and lens package will start recording, but will not stop, using either the STOP/START buttons on the lens body, or on the camera body.

We’ve reseated the control cable from lens to camera, cycled power up and down, and are now wondering what to try next. My lens engineer is West Coast, so there’s still a few hours to go before I can rouse him. (“Good morning Peter!”)

Any ideas as to what could be going on? In the meantime, I’ve told my colleague to roll out another 30 seconds before powering down at the end of each shot. The news clips are not going to be ingested, only played back, so I think we’re okay as far as damaging the tails of each clip. (fingers crossed about that).

    Grant.

    I’d suggest trying a different lens — it may be a faulty wiring/switch issue…
