I currently own a HPX-170 and LOVE the camera to death. I owned a DVX100 prior to this and a lot of the same great features and feel translate into the HPX170. We are looking to add an additional camera to the arsenal. I would prefer to go with another HPX-170 but my co-worker wants me to look into the HMC40 as well. I have been weighing out the pros and cons and wanted to get some insight on it. Would you recommend shooting multi cams with both of these cameras? Is the look similar enough to the 2? Or should we stay consistent? Will I also have trouble syncing up multi clip footage in Final Cut Pro as I am coming from an SD card and a P2 card?

Any information or guidance would be much appreciated!!

HMC-150 would be more of a match to the HPX-170 than the HMC-40.
