HP elite desktop for cs5?
Hi. I’m new to the forum and video editing in general. I was looking for a pc that was compatible with cs5 for a good price and I found the HP elite models. I particularly like the 180t. Do you think this will work?

According to NVIDIA specs it has CUDA engine.. so it should be fine.
However the question is with single drive how will you get sustained data? So unless you are planning to upgrade to RAID you may not see real time playback and fluid editing experience even for HDV/DV.
At least I would get a second sata drive for DATA.
I would get 1.5TB/WD RE4 drive… so in case if you want to upgrade RAID0 or 5 later on, you will be able to use it. It has almost same performance as 10K drive. -
