  • How’s your PMW200 DC jack holding up?

My PMW200s have seen light duty since I got them, but in working with them recently I found myself really concerned about the power jack. Not only is it in the most nonsensical place that anyone could ever conceive, the connector fits so tightly that it’s hard to remove. I keep thinking I’m going to damage either the camera or the connector trying to unplug the thing.

Most of the time I use these cameras with batteries, so it’s not a huge issue. When doing all day conferences with the DC input, though, I find myself getting frustrated with the jack and cable. Hopefully it’ll handle being plugged and unplugged over time.

Just checking to see if anyone else has had this same frustration or suffered damage due to the tight fit and poor placement. Thanks!
