How would you do this masking effect?
So, I’m a bit over my head, meaning that I’m drowning at the bottom of the ocean.
In this scene, a man closes the door and then reopens it with a new room behind it.
So, I’m trying to mask out the area behind the door. I’ve been spending hours key framing these miserable little mask and and pretty much finished.
However, eventually the two masks (one under his arm and one above) need to merge together seamlessly.
I’ve tried switching all the layer modes and such but can not seem to achieve the desired results.I’m really running out time and need to find a way to do this.
p.s. If you thought I had a thread similar to this, then you’re right. I did., I thought I had solved the issue but did not.

Dave, you’ve been a true life saver!
sigggghhhhhh….I’ve been workin on this one scene for 3 days and I don’t even kow if it’s going to look that great in the end.
The good all pressures of the shoot. There was talk of green screen, then some said something about masks. The next thing I know, I’m sitting here for days working on this one scene. It probably would have been easier to deal with a crappy green screen.
