    Sure. Get 3DStroke from Trapcode, darw elliptical masks, use the Repeater to form a sphgere, wobble the lines up using Turbulent Displace or something similar.

    im trying what you suggested about repeating but 3d stroke seems to be rotating off center its so weird. i had this problem before with a project but i got away with but now to make the sphere it wont work’

    any thoughts

    Move the mask on the solid until it looks right. 3D stroke will update as you move the mask.

    To make sure an elliptical (or rectangular) mask is centered, make it by double-clicking on the elliptical/rectangular mask tool.

    Keep in mind that you might need multiple instances of 3D stroke applied to different elliptical masks to get the effect you need. Be prepared for long preview and render times. 🙂
