how would one recreate the osx dock scale effect in aftereffects
is there an expression that could drive the scaling up and down and positioning of a couple elements in a “dock” I’m just curious what would be the best set up for this. I’d basically like it to move just like the osx dock.
anyone ever done this or know how?

It sounds to me like the “bulge” effect, which is under the “distort” menu. Animate the “bulge center”. I’ve done it for something else and it worked very nicely.

I saw a script somewhere around here that changed the scale of an object depending on how close it was to another object. Sorry to not be more helpful than that but it might get you heading in the right direction.
