Agreed. Do read what I’d suggested, because I indicated what could be done to SYNC to the V/O: Each V/O spoken Word SYNCED to its appearance. Hunter was wanting to SYNC, as per his YouTube sampler.

Oh yeah, any syncing would have to be done manually. Utilizing markers like you said is probably what I would do. When I want to sync things to music beats id let the song play and just tap M, but you probably don’t have to be super precise to produce a decent effect. The trouble is it’s just a long process overall if you wanna do this for an entire video for instance.
As for the collage. I don’t have any real good idea there. And while you can layer things behind each other in 3D space in vegas pro it is not easy to do it with any sort of precision. If I had to do this or something like it I would use a photo editing program to combine a lot of the pictures. Preferably all of them and then animate that to slowly scroll through the image probably with pan crop. If I had to do each image individually then I guess the only way would be to literally have 100 video tracks, probably position them all so them don’t hide each other or at least not completely. Then make them a massive group of tracks so I could shrink it down and get it out of my way, also make them all childs of the top most track so that I can move them all at the same time using parent motion. I wouldn’t recommend this. You could easily make a quick montage of pictures. Decide how long you want each picture to be probably half a second to two seconds would be best, go into options/preferences/editing a change the still image length to what want. Then I would create a media bin specifically for this put all the pictures in there so I could easily select them at once, drop them in the time line, you could also easily add some simple animation like a slight zoom, animate one, then copy it, select the rest with the selection tool then right click and paste attributes and now they are all animated. This works best if they all have the same dimensions or you don’t care too much about something getting lost in the framing.

Y‘know, Dimitrios, we’ve raised that age-old realisation that just ‘cos we can/could do something in VegasPro, albeit a real PITA, it could be about time to use another s/w package. Users come here after seeing a really neat effect elsewhere and try to shoe-horn their Creativity into VP, which maybe just too awkward and unrewarding.

This is true. I love this program, I’ve been using it since 2007, and I still don’t know everything it and can. The effects are hokey but that time line is so good every other timeline I’ve used feels clunky by comparison. You figure out tricks, you watch tutorials. I’ve only just figured out a way to place text anywhere I want while not having the alignment change if another character is added or subtracted. Use legacy text go to text placement and select top left or bottom left then use track motion to put it where you actually want it. But while you can technically hammer a nail with a wrench if you really tried, it’s still better to use a hammer. I’ve finally gotten to the point with hitfilm where I would say I was at least intermediate skill level and I do a lot of things with that which I either couldnt do or used to do with vegas, and I’ve finally started tinkering with after affects I dunno if I really wanna dive into it but that rotobrush alone is amazing.
