I’m looking for a cool and different way to dissolve in a layer, and am looking for ideas or links.
How would I do this cool type of dissolve?
My idea is that I want to disolve in a layer using it’s luma or chroma information. For instance, if it was a landscape, and we were using luma info, the brightest part of the clouds would dissolve up first, followed by darker elements such as the darker parts of the cloud, then the blue sky, then finally the dark trees.
Is this a preset?
are there any links to do something cool like this but different?
I’m looking to “wow” the client. Any cool “dissolve in” ideas would help.Thanks in advance,

you can also use a copy of your layer as a luma track matte and then animate input black and input white to control the matte. the gamma can also be animated to give you more control than gradient wipe.
