  • How to? Default settings

    Hi,

is it possible to create default settings for:

Projects – I need all to be 1080/25fps

Timeline settings – I’d like to have a default clip height and appearance across all projects

Also, when I copy titles/overlays from one project and paste into a new empty one it brings up “The video properties of this clip are not recognized” and whilst always set at 1080p HD/1920×1080 the framerate option varies between 60 & 23.98 fps – its not a big hassle to change this to 25 but it would be nice to set it.

Options are somewhat limited in FCPX prefs so are these settings possible?

    Many Thanks

    Luke

Make a 1080p25 Project on your system hard rive and name it “1080p25_template”. Be sure to turn off the option to “set based on first video clip”

When you are ready to make a new Project, simply duplicate that Project to the destination hard drive of choice.
