March 7, 2018 at 9:43 pmThat’s not very helpful advice from the Adobe support rep.
Ae’s support for GPU acceleration is still pretty limited, and it defaults to on. You can confirm by opening your Project Settings, Looking under Video Rendering and Effects, and confirming that “Mercury GPU Acceleration” is selected (rather than “Mercury Software Only”).
Are you still troubleshooting your failed render from a few threads down, or are you trying to get faster render times?

March 8, 2018 at 3:09 amyeah I have tried everything and no look with my rendering issue, the rep said something to the effect of “its using too much of my cpu, it would help if i could put more of the workload on the GPU. Doesnt seem like theres too many ways to do that of course, I am about to leave my render entirely and start my next project and see if it happens again on my next project, then I’ll knnow its not just an issue with that one project or not
Thanks Walter
