  • How to use the Audio Waveform effect

OK, I must not be understanding how to use this effect. I created a comp with the Tone effect to create a sound and vary the frequency of that tone over the duration of the comp. I then create a new comp with a solid and apply the audio waveform effect to it. I add the first comp to this comp and select it as the audio layer in the audio waveform effect. All I get is a wave that is the same amplitude and looks like the same frequency for the duration of the comp.

When I vary the level of the tone, the waveform changes. I am trying to get it to change with the frequency.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks for your help,
    Ken
