I am trying to use 5 Macs with AJA LHE cards to ingest 720P HDSDI from Panasonic box cameras. They don’t have any time code input and only accept blackburst sync. Has anyone got any ideas how I can feed the same timecode to all 5 capture cards? I think the only thing I have in the system that is generating timecode is an edit DVR.

This is one thing that the IoHD had in mind. Since live record is a reason for it. You send TC to all the units and capture with the VTR exchange. Of course the Ki can also handle this.

Realize this may not be much help.

SDI can embed TC that the Kona Cards can read but I don’t think many cameras if any embed the TC in SDI, that is another thing to at least look into.

I’ve got 16 of these and they work great.

always nice to find boxes that fix the hole’s between product’s
never heard of them but looks OK

other option is to look at software that use a audiochannel for TC
something like virtualVTR or some tools made by
videotoolshed. (they have a lot of tiny timecode softwaretools)

People saying they don’t make mistake’s often make nothing at all!
