  • How to stop mask tracking after a certain keyframe?

    Hi Everyone,

How can I stop mask tracking after a certain keyframe in Premiere Pro CC? When the tracked item moves out of the screen or gets blocked by an object in front of it, the masked area and hence the blurriness/mozaic stays there.

If there were an option to select a part of the video within a mask (basically bulk selecting keyframes), then reducing opacity to zero for that part of the video could be done.

But I have been unable to find a solution to do so and going through each frame for each mask selection is not at all a convenient option.

Thanks for your help in advance!

    Cut the clip.

Thanks Paul, I guess that would be one way of doing it.

I have realized that the best way to do it is reducing the opacity to zero for the keyframes where the tracking is not required. That does the trick.

Do you mind explaining how you did that?

When I set opacity to 0% at a certain keyframe it sets it to 0% for the entire duration.
