How to stop apostrophes disappearing when bringing Word script into vast caption assistant on Vegas pro 13?
Posted by Amanda Duffield on November 26, 2015 at 8:22 amI can only see an option to bring in text from the clipboard .otherwise I would re-save my script in notepad as ‘unicode’. Am I missing something?

November 26, 2015 at 10:26 amThat’s just how it is, apostrophes is always missing whenever you copy
and paste from a Word document, Notepad, PDF or WordPad into Vegas in
whatever way.
Only solution i know of, is to simply go thru and make the corrections
when copied.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

November 27, 2015 at 3:40 pmAs you have seen, Word does not use apostrophes or quotes. It uses an alternate italic character that does not translate so you need to convert your text to unicode to get back the original apostrophe and quote characters. This is a Word problem not a Vegas Pro problem. If you want an apostrophe in your document you need to tell Word to stop changing them. (I have no idea how to do this which is why I use Notepad instead which doesn’t have this nasty behavior)
