I have problem using the windows.

    – The composition window appears to big all the time i start a new project need it smaller

    – When i move windows, sometimes the blue bar on top (where the name of the window is written) and where you can grab and move windows, gets hidden below the menus. then there i can’t move them nor any longer.

I am using AE 6.5 pro. What to do?

    Thank you

Set it up like you want it, then go to Window—>Workspace and save it. Now save your project. This will make it the default workspace the next time you open your project, and also (I think) for every new project after that until you close the program with a different workspace enabled. Then that becomes the default workspace for that project and new ones (I think). Someone much more knowledgable about the program will soon correct me if I’m wrong.

    Mike.

you’re on windows, right? this method works for all windows which have a menu associated with them:

while the windows title/menu bar is off the screen, you can press ‘alt’ and ‘spacebar’ together. this should bring up your window menu at the top of your main screen. press ‘M’ to activate the ‘move’ command. now use the arrow keys to reposition your window somewhere you can see it. this is especially useful if you’ve gone from a 2 monitor set-up to a hi-res 1 monitor set up but you forgot to relocate your palletes before making the switch… (ahem…) in this case you’d re-select the pallete that’s dissappeared off the end of your screen from the applications menu (this should make it active) and then you’d repeat the process i’ve outlined above.

    hope this helps…
