  • How to shatter a model.

    Hello you guys, now I’m back to the art of shattering/breaking an object. I know how to shatter text, I’d just use Thrausi. But I downloaded a iPhone 4 model and I’m trying to make it shatter when it hits the floor, when I use Thrausi it says it can’t break it. So I am confused. I hope it is possible, it seems simple enough for a program like this to do. I made it so it falls and hits the floor, I know how to do that much!

    Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

    Thrausi only breaks one object I think. Your phone is probably many pieces in a null and it can’t break the Null, you’d have to connect all the phone bits into one object and break that

    @Brian Jones
    The iPhone model is in many pieces, and I figured that you’d have to put it in one object, but I’m wondering how you would do that? If you could advise me on how to do that, it’d be great. 🙂

    Thanks for the response!

    Can you please explain how to connect all the parts in a null into an object?

    in Poly mode select all the parts under the null and run Connect Objects.
