  • How to set “Reference Mode” to “Offline” on a global/permanent basis?

Is there any way to tell Resolve 8 to globally use “Offline” as the reference mode?

I’m recreating a spot that was initially graded in Apple Color, and am using a Quicktime reference of the partially graded Color sequence in order to refer to the pre-graded material so I can rebuild the grades in Resolve.

I would like to be able to set the “Reference Mode” so that whenever I pull up a Reference Wipe, it refers to the Offline Clip as the reference by default, and not a Gallery still. I have to manually toggle the Ref Mode for every clip to “Offline” if I want to do this. Kinda annoying.

Is there a way to enable this to all clips in the timeline in one fell swoop?
