  • How to set default number of tracks

    PPro always starts with 3 video tracks and 3 audio tracks. I know you can set a default within a project, but is there a global setting for new projects? Thanks for any advice.

    Hmmm, each time you start a new project you have to either load a preset or create a custom setting. You could create a preset with the desired number of tracks or create project files with your desired presets and lock them via your OS (R-click/Properties or Get Info).
    I do the latter. I’ve created a project folder that holds Premiere project files for every specification I’ve used. Each project holds one black video clip and an audio file that I use for audio leveling. You could just create blank project files to you specification.
    I just open a ‘blank’ project and I’m ready to rock, import assets and Save As…
