how to separate / disconnect windows in FCP
Hello. I have a beginner question for FCP. How can I separate or disconnect windows within the application? For example, if I want to completely separate the timeline, or any other window, how can I do so in order to indivdually resize and customize the layout. I see how to make windows larger and smaller and resize, but when I do so, I they obviously impact adjacent windows. I would like to know how to separate windows so I can resize them independent of each other. I know this was possible in early FCP versions and is possible in premiere. Thank you kindy. Latest FCP version. Mac OS sonoma.

Hey Michael,
I have only used the option of separating windows on 2-screen set-up like this one:
https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/final-cut-pro/verfa85dcd9e/macThere are ways of minimizing or “close” widows, but don’t think that even the latest version will allow you to drag them around.
