how to selectively “brighten” area of a clip

Hi Mike,

I hired Tom as a second camera op a couple of weeks ago… small world.

@Bob: Thanks for your input. In the clip provided by Mike, he used the masking technique to blur the background.

By the way, can I select a color/color-range and brighten only that?
