  • How to rotate an object around a null while keeping a static orientation.

I want to achieve a similar effect to the one found at 1:20 of this video. https://youtu.be/DSlY74J6iH8

The text is rotating on a circular path and its orientation stays static. I other words the text stays upright while following a path or while attached to a rotating null. I want to create a heads up display with the same type of effect.

Thanks for any insight that you can spare.

    cheers.

Put a null at the center of the circle, position the text layer and make it a child of the null, and give the text layer this rotation expression:

    -parent.transform.rotation

Thanks for the insight. In what part of the text layer do I copy the expression to?

    cheers.
