I’ve encountered a situation where the snapping icon in the corner of final cut express has disappeared.

I had accidentally dragged the snap icon a couple pixels, at which point it made a poof of smoke, and is now gone. I’m searching through all of the settings to return the snap icon, but to no avail.

Anyone know how to return the snap icon?

I’ve never used FCE but FCP has a list of buttons. You just open the list and drag the ones you like to the bar.

I presume its the same as FCP in that the ‘n’ key turns snapping on or off.

To add the button to the button bar (just above the timeline), go to Tools>Button Bar>Load.

    Hope that helps.
