How to respond to a Request for Qualifications
Hello all,
we have been asked to submit a Request for Qualifications (not RFQ as in RF Quote, it’s not about a RFP yet) with a client in the US (Florida). We are from Germany and since pitching Stateside is a first for us, we are unfamiliar with the concept of a Request for Qualifications. We have been reading up about scope, content, structure and general expectations regarding a response to a RFQ of course. But we are not sure how to respond to the general question of “fees”.
The job is about a extensive smartphone app plus website with loads of features, therefore a lot of different departments will be involved: GUI designers, a/v editors, design artists, programmers, content editors, executive producers, photoshop / illustrator artists, trainees, etc.
Could anyone please give us some insight here? Do you state example fees per job type? And then; per hour? day? week? do you give alternatives when you know it will be a months-long commitment (e.g. a flat rate for a designer as compared to a daily fee or some such)?
Thank you very much in advance,
Kind regards,
Harry
