How to resize eclipse tool without changing white solid size
alright, so the subject line makes no sense at all.
Anyway what i want to know is to how to change the scale of the mask created with the eclipse tool without changing the size of the entire white solid i have behind my footage. Sense you probably still have no idea what I am on about, I’ll start at the beginning.
So, i was doing that Kamehameha tutorial on youtube (search it, its easy to find). And for that, you need to create a white solid about 150% wider then your composition, and 100% of the hight of your composition. Then you need to take the eclipse tool and make a smallish circle with it, so that you have a opaque white circle on your footage that will become your energy blast later. The problem for me, comes when you have to change the size of the circle in white solid > mask 1 > Scale. Scale, instead of changing just the size of the circle you cut out with the eclipse tool, changes the size of the entire white solid. Causing the white solid to either become WAY to large or much too small (the problem in my case) in which case (if its too small) when you drag the circle across your footage when animating it, it will move off the white solid because the solid is only maybe 20% of what it used to be or something.
So, i need to make the circle bigger, without effecting the size of the white solid.
Sorry for asking such a minor question, but, apparently its too minor to manage to get into FAQ’s and the like.

Use the arrow tool and double-click the ellipse mask. It will go into “Transform” mode, so you can then easily scale it, reposition it, etc
