how to remove peak noise
Posted by Gabriel Scharis on May 4, 2012 at 9:44 amI’ve captures footage from a party where the sound was sooo loud that my camera captured the audio with a lot of cracks in it (don’t know the term for it really). Even when my camera’s audio level was set on the lowest Db possible.
My question:
Is there a way in adobe premiere 5.5 to lower these cracks? (don’t know the term/word for it)Thank you very much.

May 4, 2012 at 3:32 pmYeah, ah than there is nothing I can do..
Is there a way to record footage without being overmodulated,
when there is a very loud band playing etc?
I already set the audio on the camera on the lowest so that is recording without peaks. but it is still overmodulated… -

You’re best to set levels with the level coming in.
You were using the on-cam mic were you?
You’ll get better sound running a signal out of the sound board into your camera.
It’s a learning experience for you.

May 4, 2012 at 5:26 pmyes I was using the on-cam mic.
What you are suggesting is using an external mic that I plug into the camera?
I am using the sony PMW EX-1. -

May 4, 2012 at 6:11 pmNo. You bring cable and connectors and you take a line out of the mixing board. Feed it into your camera.
