How to remove just one filter from a multiple clips in a long sequence
Hi. I have a two hour documentary full of FX, color filters, nests, it is very complex. Some clips scattered throughout this galactic sequence have deinterlacing on them, and I need to output a version of the program (for film transfer) that has all deinterlacing turned off. In FCP 3 it was easy — I closed FCP, removed delinterlace from the application folder, rendered the show, output it, then put back the deinterlace plugin when finished.
Final Cut 5 however has no discernable deinterlace component in the .app package. Help! I need to find a way to either remove the delinterlace plug-in temporarily, or otherwise have a way within Final Cut to remove the deinterlace filter WITHOUT removing all other filters and attributes. Help! (Going through each clip and manually deleting the deinterlace filter is untenable, not with all the nests, so that is not an option — I’m in a pickle and really need some wisdom. Is there a way with scripting? XML project file editing / search/replace? Somebody understand the .app package? Something?) Thank you!
