I have some video with a subject standing in front of some background I would like to remove and replace with a different background. Is there a way to do this in AF

    Rotoscoping through masking.

Take the pen tool, cut out your foreground object. Keyframe it so that it is cut out the whole length of the movie. (Use the pointer tool to move individual points). Add a new background as a second layer. Tere you go. It is VERY time consuming and annoying so good luck.

Thanks, but I must be doing something wrong. I want to apply a particle effect only to my subject. When I use the pen tool I can isolate my subject but as soon as I apply the effect I lose my subject (image goes black) but I can see the effect. I don’t have any experience with AF. Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks
