  • How to recreate this Shape Transition?

    Hi all,

There’s this shape transition/logo reveal in the FIFA video game that I really love I’ve attached ( Here’s a YT link in case that didn’t work https://youtu.be/-hnzjDQi2SQ ). It seems really simple, but I feel like the way I’m thinking about doing something similar is overcomplicating it (animating one shape layer then duping and staggering the rest).

Any thoughts on how to do this simply so I could possibly learn a couple of new tricks would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve seen this in NLEs as a transition plugin.

I don’t use AE for transitions but I have seen this in a tutorial.

I think you’re probably thinking of the venetian blinds effect? Unfortunately that just does an even spread of shapes, you can’t have them come up in different sizes etc. with movement.

    This can be done manually.

With the venetian blind effect? Or you mean just building each solid out individually?
