  • How To Record Out of FCP to Camcorder – Frustrating

Posted by David S. on April 9, 2006 at 7:32 pm

I have my recording settings and my sequence settings identical 720p/60.

I have the cam in the VCR mode, a firewire connection to FCP, and the sequence settings 720p/60.

I see all thumbnails on the HVX screen.

I push play and and record simultaneeously and nothing happens or no recording happens.

I’ve been through the manual repeatedly and can’t identify what setting I am missing

    HELP.

Between the Apple white paper, the HVX200 manual, and two glasses of wine, I got it to work.

Gotta go to print to video, and interestingly, to stop recording you need the remote control

Since you got it to work, maybe you can help me out?

I have the HVX200 hooked up to my mac with firewire. I need to print a sequence to tape (because of a really long and frustrating story involving Vegas not being able to read .mov files). BUT NOTHING I DO WORKS.

Sometimes I can get audio to come through the camera.
Sometimes I can get ONE frame of video to come through to the camera.

    Now nothing is coming through.

I can not find anywhere a step-by-step of what I need to do to get this stupid footage on a tape. (It was originally shot in HD on the HVX200 to a firestore. And now I need it on a tape.)

Can you shed any light on this situation? THANKS!
