How to procedurally break up geometry…

October 14, 2009 at 7:15 pmHey everyone,
So, I know this is a large can of worms, but does anyone know of any ways to procedurally split and break apart geometry in Cinema4d? Imagine a crack in a flower pot starting to grow, and evolving to the point where the pot itself is shattered. I know I can probably fake something with a displacement map, then cut to pre-cut geometry, but didn’t know if there was a simpler way to do it. I am also open to the possibility of purchasing a 3rd party plug-in.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know anything about a plugin called destruction and/or where I can download it for v11.5?
