I’m reading Creating Motion Graphics w/AE version 6.5. I’m have a problem placing markers on my audio clips. The books states do a RAM Preview and hit SHIFT & “0” and the keyboard not the keypad. Everytime I do a RAM Preview and hit SHIFT & “0” the time line marker goes back to 00.00.00.00 and I have no maker why
    Thanks
    Brian

Don’t know about the SHFT+0 method, but the asterisk (* aka multiply) key on the number pad will set layer markers, but only if a layer is selected in the timeline.

AE isn’t an NLE so it doesn’t “scrub” audio, but you can press the period key on the number pad to preview audio only or, to preview audio during RAM preveiws, make sure Audio is checked in the dropdown menu Composition>Preview>Audio., or serach AE’s Help for “preview audio”.

You can scrub audio in AE by holding down the ctrl key on Windows, or the command (apple) key on Mac.

I stand corrected. Sorry about the misinfo Brian…I should’ve been sure before advising someone else…guess I just never had a need to scrub audio in AE.
