How to precisely sync audio in FCP?
Dear all,
Help would be much appreciated:
I’ve got some footage shot on Canon 5D and 4 tracks of audio recorded separately with clapperboard. Ultimately, I want to be able to create a sequence with all the clips and their new audio, synced perfectly, ready to edit.
I’ve created sequences for each clip and used Pluraleyes to do the best it can do – although the sound on the 4 new tracks align as closely as possible in terms of frames, they could still be more accurate.
I know that you can double-click on each audio track, zoom in and hold the shift key to move audio even more precisely, but that’s where my knowledge ends.
1. Is there any way to “micro-move” all 4 new tracks together, rather than one at a time?
2. How do you then apply these accurate audio tracks back to the sequence video?
3. From these individual sequences, how can I then create self contained clips with the new audio locked to the video, ready to import and edit in a master sequence?
A step-by-step idiot’s guide would be most useful (not that I’m an idiot…)
Many thanks!
Yours (without “PLEASE’s” or exclamation marks),
Tim
