  • How to play back best quality projection of project?

Posted by Terry Esslinger on October 30, 2008 at 4:50 pm

I am doing a project for a youth football banquet. I need to have it done by Saturday. It will end up being about 30 minutes long with mostly stills but some video thrown in (strategically).

It is SD with some of the video shot in 16:9.

I will be projecting the presentation. How should I render it out for the best quality presentation? I was thinking about sending it back to DV.avi tape and then playing it to the projector with a camcorder or miniDV deck (which I have). I thought that this would bypass the possible glitches that a DVD could have and the lesser compressed DV.avi (as compared to MPEG2) would be a better quality. Am I missing something here?

    Nope,
The method you are thinking of printing it on
tape, then playing it to the projector with a
camcorder or miniDV deck would be a perfect solution,
seeing you can set it up that way.
You should not experience any glitch during playback
(unlike DVD) and as you said, less compression
    (more pristine quality).
