  • How to move composition from one Project to another

    Can somebody please let me know how to move one composition that i’ve made in project(A) to another project(B) ? Thanks in advance.

    Import Project A into project B.

    You can File>Import>File, then choose an aep (AE project file)with that comp, and it will open up that project with said comp in it’s own folder. Delete all the new files except the comp and you should have what you want…

    Or…

    In that aep with the comp you want to transfer, File>Save As, and give it a new name like “Comp to Import” (or whatever) and then Import that comp as above.

    No other way I know of.

    Man , i couldnt have done it without you. No seriously , thanks for taking your time to write your response but ….

    nevermind …. yikesmikes , thanks for ‘detailed’ response. Mac OS grayed out AEP file ( dont know why ) when i clicked on FILE->IMPORT when i tried it first time. Strange, it’s still grayed out now but it’s selectable and it does work.
