How to motion track
I’m sure this is something most of you experts know how to do, but I’m having a tough time figuring this out properly. Basically, I have the same scene shot by two cameras and I want to split them half and half in the frame. This is no problem for me. However, the action in the whole frame of one of the videos moves from one end of the frame to the other, thus disappearing when I crop it in half. How can I keep the image cropped yet move the point that is centered in the “half-frame”?

Use the Pan/Crop tool to split the screen. Then move the area that is cropped to keep the action in view. You have to disable “Lock Aspect Ratio” and “Size About Center” to achieve this.

OK got it thanks! What I was doing wrong was simply moving the frame to make it look like the video was cropped, when what I should have been doing was to actually crop it, then use track motion to move it from center. Thanks again for jogging my memory!
