  • How to merge project files in AE?

Posted by Smithpixels on October 29, 2007 at 9:28 pm

I’m running a Mac, CS3 AE. I need to open up two projects at once and grab some footage and camera moves out of one project (not composition) into another. One project is the intro portion and the other is a fairly complex camera rotations displaying several products for an ad. I basically want to copy/paste the Product project into the Intro project. There are things that need to ‘merge’ or I would export one and drop it into the final project. I know this is probably really simple but I can’t figure it out!

    Thanks!

    errr…

i may be dumb, but when i import another project into my project, all i get imported is the “project bin” stuff, not layers, timing, keyframes etc.

is this supposed to happen when importing a project ?

if so, how do i import (merge) a full project into another to have the above mentioned properties inside my ‘parent’ project ?
