How to make shadows from transparent objects “dye”?

July 8, 2005 at 2:12 amHey, all.
Does anybody know how to make colored shadows, ie, shadows acting as projections after “dyeing” with the colors of transparent materials?
I am doing an animation with sem-transparent objects, and even though the “transparency” option is turned on for the shadow casting light source, the shadows are still black.
Any advice?
Many thanks!Adolfo Rozenfeld

The shadows just became colored when I assigned the animated texture in the Transparency channel of the material. I guess that if the transparency channel is white, it doesn’t produce colored shadow no matter how strong the transparency.
Now It works, but you know what? It probably looked better when shadows were black 🙂
