How to make realistic looking carpet with hair simulator?
Hello 🙂
So I was wondering if it’s possible to create a nice looking carpet with the hair simulator.. the carpet in this image is what I’m trying to achieve. I like the kinda “suede” look it has with different tones and thickness.

It’s possible, although it will take a while to render since you’ll need to use hundreds of thousands of hairs. To get the variation you’d probably want to layer up some noises controlling the hair material’s kink or frizz parameters.
